"I Knew You"

My heart is heavy this Sunday morning, for a tiny baby barely born
has left this life-- Although I never saw her - I knew her.

Some might ask, How could you know someone you have never seen,
especially an infant only a few days old?

But, I did know her in many ways. I knew her by the stock from whence
she came, Pioneer stock, hard working, God fearing folk.

In two loving families who cherish their children; in dedicated parents
who wanted her and loved her; in the beauty and intelligence of her
mother, in the strength, goodness and decency of her father, in the joy
of life and sweetness of Courtney, in the energy and excitement that is
Austin's, grand parents who look to the promise of the future and yes,
great grand parents whose traits and ways she would inherit.

You can be sure that this child was known and wanted, by people who
value children and family life and heritage; and so it was that I too
knew her.

But most of all, God knew Morgan and knows her still, and she will
spend her life in paradise - a place to run and skip, learn and grow,
to play and fish and sing with great grand parents and to walk hand in
hand in flowered meadows with Jesus.

INDEED, sweet one, I KNEW YOU.
