The Robin’s whisper

In an empty space,

there was a flower that grew

And an empty nest
that was now full
of blue eggs

The robin spoke

In a
whisper, she
tickled my ear
with the words;

“There is much
Life that needs
nurturing”…

Gently her wings
wrapped around.
me…again she
whispered
“I know, because
I too have suffered
great loss

“It is in their honor
that we live
with the largest
of hearts,
in Harmony
with all of nature
and mankind”

It was then
then I realized
my heart
was still full.

From Tiny Hands:

The physician twirled
The transducer in
every way. "He
had nothing to say
as I looked
at the screen, my
son's heart was still."
In disbelief and
nervous energy, I
pushed his hand away.
Is this the last photo?
No more for our book?
NO! The hospital echoed
with the sounds of
a Mother, gasping
for a breath
of some other
truth.

Empty arms,
leaking breasts,
aching heart
and Percocet. Yes,
I think I've got everything,
Everything but my baby.
It's not fair,
it's even cruel.

Renewed Spirit
Thunder echoes
In our mountains
Water rushes beneath
Life drowning
A birth given, still
Pain wraps like a blanket
The spirit shattered
Sharp glass pokes
At our hearts

Clouds drift with
Angel formations
Wings of peace
Drop tiny healing tears
The warmth of our
Earth's brilliant star
Sets on the horizon
Displaying heavenly colors
A rainbow blanket
The gift is received
A renewed Spirit.
